Sigiriya


The most intriguning and popluar World Heritage Site is Sigiriya, dubbed”thh eightth wonder of the world”, a stupandous rook onwhich apatricidal king built amagnificent palace. The rock face was covered with sencual frescoes ofcelestial  maidense  . describeed as the world,s largest picture gallery

Anuradhapura




Which the Buddha attained Anuradhapura is the location of the Sri Maha Bodhi bo –tree, grown from the  original tree under enlightenment,it is the world’s oldest documented living tree.

Thuparama  Dagaba  





King Devanampiyatissa built  Thuparamaya in which  was  enshrined  the collarbone of the Buddha and         is  considered as the first dagaba built in Sri Lanka, after the  introduction of Buddhism.  This chetiya  was  built  in the shape  of   a heap of  paddy.  This daghaba was destroyed  from time to time.  During the reginof King agbo 2 it was   completely  destroyed         and  the King restored  it. What we have today  is the contruction of dagaba, don in 1862 A.D  As  it today.
